PRIVACY POLICY
Last Updated: May 21, 2026
The Inspection Assistant LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy and security of our users. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our home inspection software and associated services (collectively, the “Service”).
1. Information We Collect
To provide our automated home inspection reporting services, we collect the following:
User Account Information: Data provided during registration, including your name, company name, contact information, and professional credentials.
Inspection Data: Information you input into the Service, including property addresses, inspection notes, and client contact details.
Visual Data (CV Inputs): Images or video feeds uploaded to our Service. Our Computer Vision (CV) models analyze these images solely to automatically populate inspection forms based on your specific configuration.
Technical Usage Data: Information regarding your interactions with our software, including device identifiers, IP addresses, and system performance logs, which are used to maintain system stability and security.
2. Data Hosting and Infrastructure
We utilize Amazon Web Services (AWS) to host our core application and databases, and BentoML to host and serve our machine learning and computer vision models.
Data Residency: Your data is stored within secured AWS infrastructure. We utilize AWS regional data centers to ensure reliability and performance.
CV Model Hosting: Our computer vision models are deployed and served using BentoML, a purpose-built ML model serving platform. BentoML provides the infrastructure for running, scaling, and managing our CV model inference. BentoML acts as a service provider and is contractually committed to maintaining the security and confidentiality of any data processed within its environment.
Data Security: We leverage industry-standard security features across our AWS and BentoML infrastructure to protect your information, including encryption of data at rest and in transit.
Infrastructure Responsibility: While AWS and BentoML provide the underlying cloud and model-serving infrastructure, The Inspection Assistant LLC maintains control over the configuration, access management, and security policies applied to all data and models within our environments.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
Provide the Service: Power the core functionality of our software, including CV-based automation.
System Integrity: Monitor and improve the performance and security of our hosted infrastructure.
Account Management: Verify credentials and provide customer support.
Legal Compliance: Comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal processes.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your data. Your data is your property. We only share information in the following limited circumstances:
Infrastructure Providers: We use AWS to host our application and databases, and BentoML to serve our CV models. Both act as service providers and are contractually committed to maintaining the security and confidentiality of the data processed within their environments.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or a valid government request.
Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the successor entity, provided they agree to abide by the terms of this Privacy Policy.
5. Data Security and Retention
We implement “least privilege” access controls and robust encryption to ensure that only authorized personnel and systems can access your data. We retain your information only for as long as necessary to provide the Service or to comply with our professional record-keeping obligations. Upon account termination or your request, we will initiate procedures to delete or anonymize your data in accordance with our data retention policies.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to request access to your data, request the correction of inaccurate information, or request the deletion of your account and associated data. To exercise these rights, please contact us at the address below.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our technology or legal requirements. Significant changes will be communicated via our website or the application interface.
